The Board of Trustees of London Skills for Growth (LSfG) and the Corporation of London South East Colleges have agreed for LSfG to merge into London South East Colleges with effect from Friday 1 January 2021.
LSfG has been working in partnership with London and South East Education Group (LSEEG) and London South East Colleges on its Traineeship and Apprenticeship provision for several years. However, due to the impact of the pandemic, the merger has been approved in order to protect the charitable aims of London Skills for Growth and highly valuable contributions to the Group and its social enterprise agenda.
LSfG will retain its branding within the Group and continue, as planned, to recruit to agreed targets for the rest of the year. Upon merger, it will become a department within the College and sit under the overall responsibility of Neil Coates, Vice Principal for Adults, Apprenticeships and Partnerships. Angela Beaton, LSfG’s Operations Director, will work with Neil to build an even stronger brand and further its future growth.
Neil Coates, Vice Principal for Adults, Apprenticeships and Partnerships said; “Together, we aim to provide even greater opportunities for learners and employers alike. We very much look forward to continuing to work with London Skills for Growth on what promises to be an exciting and very successful journey with the College.”
