Chair of London South East Colleges, Stephen Howlett CBE DL, has been awarded a fellowship from the Chartered Institution of Further Education (CIFE).
The CIFE represents best practice within the FE sector. It brings together colleges and training providers across the sector to recognise and celebrate their professionalism and success.
Stephen’s fellowship from the prestigious organisation comes two years after London South East Colleges’ gained membership. In his role, Stephen will continue to support and promote excellence within the sector.
A ceremony took place at Apothecaries’ Hall in London last week, with Skills Minister, Alex Berghart, in attendance. Stephen’s Fellowship was one of seven to be awarded, together with three honorary fellows and six new CIFE memberships.
Commenting on being awarded the Fellowship, Stephen said: “I am honoured to be recognised by this important organisation, which does so much to raise the profile of the Further Education sector.
“I congratulate all the new members and fellows and I look forward to further supporting the excellent work of the Institution.”
